Waterfalls Lakes and Mountians

Wales is blessed with many Waterfalls such as the Melincourt Falls pictured and Mountains, Lakes, Caves and Canals many of which can be found in or close by the Brecon Beacons National Park.

We can travel through the past Industrial Heartland of South Wales with the remains Coal Mines and Iron Works.

To the Brecon Beacons area where we can spend the morning touring the Waterfalls of the area and some of the canal network.  Before traveling to the Brecon Beacons Mountain Centre  with its panoramic views towards Pen y Fan the highest  Mountain in the National Park (At 886 metres (2907 ft) above sea-level). Where you could have lunch in the Restaurant with its "Taste of Wales" specialities.

Canal Boats Brecon 2One of the choices after is to visit the lovely Market town of Brecon which is famous for its Jazz Festival held in August with Georgian Shop fronts where you can stroll or visit the historic Cathedral or Museum or perhaps a trip down the Canal.  Another choice while in the area is to visit the:-

Dan yr Ogof Showcaves that were discovered in 1912.  There are labyrinth of passage ways and caves one's that you can explore or even get married in. Around the site of the there also many other attractions including:- Dinosaur Park, Shire Horse Centre, Farm. Before traveling back to your accomadation by a scenic route that would probably included one of the Lakes
